After a lengthy learning session and dialogue with Carmin regarding blogging and the purpose I am switching gears and plan to make my blog more of a journal of sorts.
Blogging is new to me. I'm trying to absorb how I can expand my own learning and how I can make a difference in my students' lives through blogging. I want them to have their minds open to new ideas and various ways of communicating. I know that one of the best ways I can help facilitate that is to provide models for them. So as I learn a new skill, and I plan to show my students what I have learned, and then teach them the skill, and finally provide time for them to practice the skill. I think this will be very helpful for them. That's what is happening here for me. I am getting the opportunity to learn and practice a skill that I plan to teach.
In the process of all of this learning and teaching I am truly enjoying watching my family grow and expand. Marcus and I have had a very full and busy week. In the midst of it we have had two birthdays to celebrate. Marcus had a birthday and my oldest grandson celebrated his 2nd birthday. We had the opportunity to meet at the zoo on Monday to celebrate.

ReplyDeleteIt looks like you have a good vision of what you want to do and how to do it. I bet some of your kids already know how to do this kind of tech stuff and could help you teach it.
