When I witnessed the sheer energy and excitement about a simple science project we completed in my classroom I decided it would be a fun learning project for almost any K-6 classroom and that I would share it as a podcast. I'm thinking about using my podcast as a forum to set up and complete science experiments and technology projects.
Two of my life verses are these and I look with anticipation to this day: Revelation 7:17 For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd; ‘He will lead them to springs of living water.’ ‘And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.’ ” Revelation 21:4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

Sink or Float Boats

What a cool experiment! That first picture says it all! I love when a classroom lab turns out to be such a hit with the students. Genuine excitement and interest, questions and cooperation are always the goal, but sometimes, especially in high school, it can be hit or miss. Are you planning on other podcasts to setup your labs? If you do, please use your Podcast Machine channel so I can keep updated with your classroom. I really think I missed my calling to be a science teacher in the elementary classroom. Younger students still have that enthusiasm for discovery and exploration!
ReplyDeleteWe did this same experiment when I was working on my masters in classroom science and the adults were just as excited and animated as your kids!!.
